I'm Alexandra, a life-long East Coaster whose "aha moment" came in the most unexpected way. After my destination wedding in Maui, I was living in that newlywed bliss when my husband and I decided to host a series of intimate celebration dinners with different groups of loved ones who couldn't make it to Hawaii. As I frantically searched for ways to bring pieces of our magical day to these gatherings, I realized something: while our professional photos would take months, we needed something beautiful and personal right now.

I went searching for someone who could create a stunning couples portrait quickly—something that captured our special connection in a style that matched my modern design aesthetic. But I came up short. And just like that, the seed for Knot Engaged was planted.

OK, not just like that. It took some moving and shaking, but when we finalized our very first portrait sample—a watercolor of my husband and me that became the centerpiece of our celebration dinners—I witnessed how a single piece of art could tell our whole story. The way our guests gathered around it, sharing their own stories and memories, showed me the power of capturing love in an immediate and meaningful way.

Since then, I've had one goal in mind: to help couples celebrate their special moments without the wait. Whether it's a surprise engagement announcement, a meaningful wedding gift, or a touching anniversary celebration, we make the impossible possible with our quick-turnaround custom artwork.
